
Russian Passenger Plane Crashes Near China Border—All 49 Aboard Dead
A Russian passenger aircraft carrying 49 people has crashed near the China-Russia border, with officials confirming there were no survivors. The Antonov An-24, operated by regional carrier Angara Airlines, had disappeared during a domestic flight over Russia’s Far East.
The plane was heading to the city of Tynda in the Amur region when it lost contact with air traffic controllers just a few miles from landing. According to RIA Novosti, burning debris was later located on a remote mountainside about nine miles from the airport.
