The Houston International Airport was bustling with travelers when Shadow, a highly trained German Shepherd K9, began barking insistently at a woman standing in line. She was seven months pregnant and understandably alarmed by the dog’s unusual behavior.
Airport officers asked her to step aside and conducted a thorough search of her belongings—but found nothing suspicious. Despite this, Shadow continued barking and sniffing her, refusing to be ignored.
The officers were puzzled. Should they let her go? The pregnant woman was visibly upset and anxious.
