The discussion opened with a clip from early 2024, when Pence had voiced doubts about Trump’s commitment to conservative principles and declined to endorse him during that year’s presidential campaign. When asked if he regretted those remarks, Pence acknowledged their previous political disagreements but noted that recent developments had changed his view.
“In times of crisis, decisive leadership is crucial,” Pence said. “The actions we witnessed demonstrated clear determination, sending a message to our adversaries that the U.S. takes threats to international security very seriously.”
