The 22nd Amendment bars any U.S. president from serving more than two terms, which rules out both Trump and Obama from running again. Obama completed his two terms by 2017. Trump, after a chaotic departure in 2021, made a political comeback in 2024 by winning one of the most contentious elections in recent memory.
