After Becki-Jo went through the birth, there was another unexpected surprise — one that no one could have predicted. It turned out the three babies, all boys, were truly rare.
Becki-Jo and her partner had some wonderful news to share with their daughter, Indiana: she was going to be a big sister.
The couple, who live just outside Liverpool, England, had been considering having more children but weren’t sure how many. It seemed fate helped them decide.
Early in her pregnancy, Becki-Jo experienced severe sickness and headaches. Because of this, her doctors scheduled an ultrasound a little earlier than usual — which is how they discovered she was expecting triplets.
The three boys — Rohan, Roman, and Rocco — were born via Cesarean section at 31 weeks, each weighing about 3 pounds 5 ounces. They spent their first six weeks in intensive care, building strength until they were ready to thrive on their own.
