That morning, James Carter, financial magnate and empire builder, was about to board his private jet to New York. A critical investor meeting awaited him, and every detail had to be flawless. His Gulfstream gleamed under the rising sun as the crew finished final checks.
Then a voice pierced the hum of engines:

Everyone froze. At the edge of the runway stood a boy, no more than twelve, wearing a torn hoodie and scuffed sneakers. Dust smudged his face, his hair tangled—but his eyes burned with fierce determination.

The boy shouted louder:
“I saw something strange near your plane! Please, listen to me!”
James hesitated. Something about the boy’s urgency felt real. Cameras from nearby journalists zoomed in, capturing every moment.
“Wait,” James said, raising a hand. “What’s your name?”
“Leo,” the boy replied, voice trembling but resolute. “Last night… I saw men messing with your jet.”
A hush fell over the tarmac. Crew members exchanged nervous glances. Ignoring him would have been easiest—but James felt the weight of Leo’s warning.
“Inspect the plane. Now,” he commanded.
Mechanics swarmed the jet, checking engines, landing gear, and fuel lines. At first, everything seemed normal. Then one technician froze.
“Sir… you need to see this,” he said.
A small device was wrapped around the fuel line, wires coiled tightly, a faint red light blinking ominously.
“This is deadly,” the mechanic said. “If you had taken off, the jet could have exploded.”
Gasps echoed. Leo’s warning had come just in time.
Within hours, news outlets were ablaze: “Homeless Boy Saves Billionaire from Disaster.”
Shaking, Leo muttered, “I told you…”
James knelt beside him. “You saved us. How did you know?”
Leo explained that he had been sleeping near the hangar, saw suspicious men, and risked everything to alert them. The attack had been targeted.
