An elderly woman took pity on a homeless young man and provided him a place to sleep. But late that night, she woke up to the sound of slow, cautious footsteps approaching her bed… and what he did next made her bl00d run cold.
The young man had nowhere left to go. His family had abandoned him, and his few friends had vanished. A distant relative, wanting to help, recommended he stay with an elderly woman who lived alone in a spacious apartment and she could use the company, and he would have a roof over his head.

When he arrived, he carried only a small backpack with two shirts, a notebook, and a faded photograph of his late parents. His demeanor was quiet and humble, his eyes downcast. The grandmother’s heart softened instantly. She fed him warm food, preapared her son’s old clothes, and gave him a room to sleep in — the one her son used to occupy before moving away.
That night, she went to bed comforted by the thought that maybe God had sent her this boy to ease her loneliness. For the first time in years, she felt useful again.

But sleep didn’t come easily. The floor creaked softly in the next room, and her uneasy mind wouldn’t rest. Just as she started to drift off, a faint sound reached her and a door hinge groaning quietly.
Through the dim glow of the nightlight, she witnessed the boy step inside. He held something in his hands. His face was no longer kind and it was blank, cold, unrecognizable.
He moved closer, silently, each step slow and deliberate. The old woman froze, pretending to sleep, whispering a prayer in her mind. Then, she saw him lift a pillow.
“It’ll be better for both of us,” he whispered.
In a flash, the pillow pressed down on her face. She fought with every ounce of strength left in her frail body, knocking it to the floor and screaming for help. The neighbors burst in just in time.
When the police came, the truth unfolded: the boy wasn’t who he claimed to be. His parents had passed away years earlier in “an acc:ident” — one he’d witnessed but never explained. Since then, he’d wandered under fake names, targeting lonely old women and plotting to make their d3aths look accidental… just to take their homes.
