Minneapolis Erupts After Fatal ICE Shooting of Renee Nicole Good

Minneapolis was rocked with outrage after 37-year-old poet and mother-of-three, Renee Nicole Good, was fatally shot by an ICE agent during a federal enforcement operation. The city’s streets overflowed with mourners, protesters, and raw emotion as the community demanded answers and accountability.

Thousands gathered near the scene for vigils and peaceful protests, placing flowers, lighting candles, and holding signs reading “ICE Go Home” and “Minnesota Doesn’t Need More ICE.” Some demonstrators confronted federal agents, burned an American flag, and chanted anti-ICE slogans, while others expressed grief in silent solidarity. Authorities responded to escalating tensions with tear gas and pepper spray, and metal barriers were erected to separate local police from federal officers, underscoring the city’s heightened state of unrest.
