The investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has taken a dramatic turn after the FBI released newly recovered surveillance images — and the internet is buzzing over one striking detail: the suspect’s eyes
The photos, shared by FBI Director Kash Patel, show a masked and armed individual outside Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home in the early hours of her disappearance. The figure appears to be tampering with a video doorbell camera while wearing a balaclava, gloves, a zipped jacket, and a backpack.
According to federal officials, the footage was recovered from residual backend data after recording devices had reportedly been removed or disabled.
“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with private sector partners to recover any lost or corrupted footage,” Patel stated. “This video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”
The release marks the most significant public development in the case since Nancy vanished on February 1 after being dropped off at home following dinner with family.
