Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins was taken into custody on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on allegations of domestic violence, according to police records from Broward County.

Judkins faces charges of alleged “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence,” as stated in the Broward County documents.

The former Ohio State player was selected by the Browns with the fourth pick in the second round of the NFL Draft and was expected to compete for the team’s starting running back position following the exit of veteran Nick Chubb.

He now could face disciplinary action under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

A spokesperson for the Browns confirmed they are aware of the incident and are currently “gathering information,” according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
