Woman Insists Nestlé Comply With Her Request; Company Responds Officially

In 2016, a university student gained attention after reaching out to Nestlé with a unique demand: a lifetime supply of Kit Kat bars. Her justification? She had bought several Kit Kats that lacked their iconic wafer layers, resulting in bars made entirely of solid chocolate.

Salma Ahmad, a second-year law student at King’s College London at the time, expressed surprise and disappointment after opening an eight-pack of Kit Kats only to discover that the crisp wafer—an essential part of the snack’s charm—was missing from several bars. She reached out to Nestlé seeking a refund and made a bold proposal: to be compensated with a lifetime supply of Kit Kats so she could help monitor quality control in the future.

In her letter to Nestlé, Ahmad wrote:

“The specific duty you owe is consistency in your manufacturing process… I have also lost my faith in Nestlé. Clearly, if I wanted to buy a confectionery item made purely of chocolate, I would have chosen a bar of Galaxy. Therefore, I would like to request a lifelong supply of Kit Kat so that I can serve as a form of quality control—it seems you need me more than I need you.”

Would you like me to keep going?
