Trump Questions Campaign Payments Involving Beyoncé and Oprah

In a recent Truth Social post, former President Donald Trump voiced concerns about celebrity appearances at Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign events, alleging that several high-profile figures were paid large sums to endorse her publicly. Among those named were Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Rev. Al Sharpton.

Trump claimed—without offering evidence—that Beyoncé was paid $11 million for a brief appearance and endorsement at a Harris rally. He further alleged that Oprah received $3 million and Sharpton $600,000 for their support. “They were paid to do absolutely nothing,” Trump wrote. “YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL.”

These accusations have not been independently verified. According to Newsweek and other outlets, no official evidence has surfaced to support Trump’s claims. Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show no $11 million payment to Beyoncé. However, records confirm that her company, Parkwood Entertainment, was paid $165,000.

Similarly, Harpo Productions—Oprah Winfrey’s media company—received $1 million, and Rev. Sharpton’s National Action Network was paid $500,000. These payments were reportedly for organizing and producing events, including a livestreamed campaign event held in Michigan.
