Minneapolis Shooting of Renee Nicole Good Sparks Outrage, National Debate

The deadly shooting of 37-year-old poet and mother-of-three Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer in Minneapolis has ignited nationwide outrage and intense scrutiny of federal immigration enforcement.

Former President Donald Trump addressed the incident on Truth Social, calling the footage “a horrible thing to watch” and describing Good as “disorderly,” claiming she “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer.” Trump framed the shooting as self-defense and blamed what he called the “Radical Left” for attacks on law enforcement, urging Americans to “stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate.”

Video footage of the incident shows multiple ICE agents approaching Good’s burgundy SUV. The footage indicates that she did not immediately exit the vehicle, briefly reversed, and then attempted to drive forward. An ICE officer fired three shots at the car, which later struck a parked vehicle. The video has gone viral, sparking heated debate over the circumstances of her death.
